Well, we have been offline for a few weeks, due to two different things happening. First was that the website went down for several weeks due to our web hosting company having issues with a server or something… So we looked into moving to another host, but then (after) moving the website we found that they did not support the flash template of the emotiveimages.com.au website. So we had to find another host…..fingers crossed everyone!![]()
The second thing to happen which was probably the most difficult to cope with, was that I found out that my monitor that I had been using to process ALL of my photos so far, was not up to par. I realised this after a fellow photographer saw an ad I had produced for the local wedding guide, and showed me that the colours I was processing for in the photos were actually coming out differently to what I realised. I was shocked, horrified and every other emotion you could think of *lol* So, there was only one thing for it….I HAD to go and get a new monitor…….so, I am now the proud owner of a 22inch Eizo Flexscan monitor…..My gosh….what a beautiful monitor this is…….(I never think I would say that about a monitor) *lol* But the difference is just amazing! I cannot believe that my photos were coming out the way that they were. Now, mind you, you wouldn’t find much difference in the colours etc, from web-based versions of the photos I am processing – BUT, once you printed a photo it would have looked completely different…. I am just glad that I resolved the problem now rather than later. So I have started redoing the photos that are already up on the website, some are refreshed and some are not.
But rest assured that the issue is now resolved, and it is all systems go to processing all of the photos from the many portrait sessions I have completed recently. I have also started helping several wedding photographers around Brisbane in second shooting weddings for brides and grooms. I cannot show you the results just yet, but as soon as the brides and grooms receive their photos, you will all be the first to see some of my wedding photographs
But for now, enjoy the new portrait photos as I upload them.
Cheers,
Louise
