Ellie and Joel were married in currumbin a few months ago at a beautiful beachside ceremony and reception.  We had met a few months before that to organise a Love Shoot for them to celebrate their engagement.  We had such a fun time, with lots of laughter!

So the question is……..

What do you get when you combine a sunny afternoon in south Brisbane, in a paddock with long grass, a couch, an old TV, a lamp, some creative use of flash and a couple in love?

Jacinta and Tim are getting married this month!  So we had no time to lose in getting out there and taking some engagement photos!  Jacinta and Tim loved the idea of having their photos taken at SouthBank, Brisbane.  I do love this location, as it is so close to the city, and yet so many spots where you can achieve lovely textures and backdrops to create a really intimate shoot.  This couple are so sweet, and so much in love!  And don’t you just love Jacinta’s dress!  Can’t wait to photograph your wedding guys!!!

For all of Renee and Dave’s guests at the wedding, we will be uploading images to the Emotive Boutique this week, now that the Love Birds have selected the images for their album.

I am on my way to August Exposure 2009 again this year!  Last year was amazingggggg, with speakers like Yervant, Greg Dries, Wayne Radford, Kelly Munce and Rob Heyman to name a few!  This year has another amazing lineup of speakers, and amazing photographers to network with.  I will still be available by phone and able to reach my emails through my iphone.

I have known Jules for nearly 6 six years and we have never ever met, until a month or so ago

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Kylie’s newborn son, Benji, a little while ago.  10 days old is probably the best time to photograph newborns, while they are still quite settled and sleepy.  I had such a great time processing these photos, and I have some absolute favourites within this group of photos.  Enjoy!

And my absolute favourites from the photo shoot…..trying out some new types of processing here…and loving it!  I think that these will look AMAZING in the new vintage frames I will have coming in to the studio very soon as a new product for my clients

I met with Kylie, a long time forum friend, this morning and her new bub Master “B” who was 10 days old.  What a cute little munchkin he was!  So adorable and was the perfect model for me!

I tell you what, he is GOING to be a heartbreaker when he grows up, and TALL!

It was such a pleasure to photograph Fiona and her family.  Here are some of the favourites from their shoot:

Ms “J” came to me with the intention of creating some classy, beautiful boudoir photos to give to her husband on their wedding day.  Ms “J” didn’t believe me initially when I said that we could take the photos IN her unit.  I was informed that her unit was tiny and there were not a lot of ‘good places’ to have photos taken.  I assured her that she would be surprised with what we could achieve in such a small space.  Ms “J” and I met several times before her photo shoot, to discuss her ideas for outfits and to view images that she found inspirational for her own photo shoot.  We offer Professional Makeup and Hair services for all of our boudoir clients.  Ms “J” looked stunning with her choice of outfits, her makeup and the cute hair styles that her and the makeup artist decided upon.  I am so very excited to be able to show you these photos!  I haven’t blogged them before now, as I wanted to keep this a secret for Ms “J”, before she showed her fiance the photos on the morning of their wedding day.  Ms “J” was literally blown away when she saw these at her photo viewing session.

One thing I will say before you see the photos.  Some people say to me “but aren’t all those people on photographers’ websites mostly models?”.  Ms “J” is NOT a professional model, she is a true blue dinky dye Australian woman.  Just like you and me

A bit of fun!  Ms “J”s fiance is a keen playstation fan…..tell me……would this distract him from the playstation? or encourage more playstation? lol
