Melissa and Blair had booked with me some time ago.  I was really looking forward to their wedding day.  This couple are so beautiful together.  They show an absolute love for one another that is understated, but extremely strong.  I met with Melissa at her grandparent’s place, and then on to Milton at an intimate church ceremony.  Melissa and Blair’s wedding day was truly special and filled with so much love and closeness between each other and their families.  Blair’s speech at the reception, at Boulevard Gardens, was so sweet towards his new wife.  Afterwards we moved on to UQ where we took some bridal party shots and some more intimate shots between Melissa and Blair.  Thank you to both of you for allowing us to share in your special day, and to have the honour of capturing your wedding day as a whole.  We are so looking forward to showing you and your guests the rest of your photos, but here is a quick sneak peek for now!

I only met Yara and Sandeep approximately 3 weeks ago at her wedding rehearsal. It was then that I saw just how in love these two were, and how beautiful their family and friends were surrounding them for this special moment in their lives. Their wedding day went so well! Yara looked absolutely stunning and her flowers were beautiful. Her parents looked so very proud on the day. Sandeep was a very calm and handsome groom. His confident exclamation of “YES!” loudly heard within the church when asked if he would take Yara to be his wife, brought a smile to many faces. Bridal party photos afterwards at Kangaroo Point were threatened by rain and stormy weather, and then a HUGE bus of tourists who inundated our location. But, we soldiered on!!! What a celebration! I have known Jules for nearly 6 six years and we have never ever met, until a month or so ago

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Kylie’s newborn son, Benji, a little while ago.  10 days old is probably the best time to photograph newborns, while they are still quite settled and sleepy.  I had such a great time processing these photos, and I have some absolute favourites within this group of photos.  Enjoy!

Ms “S” commissioned a Le Chic Boudoir Photography Session with Emotive Images a few months ago, as a present to her fiance on the day of their wedding day.  Ms “S” found Emotive Images when she was searching for a Boudoir Photographer in Sydney.  Ms “S” caught a plane to Brisbane twice to have her photography session, and then to see her photos.  This woman had the most amazing eyes!  I love focusing on eyes, they can show so much about the person and how they are feeling.  Ms “S” had her hair and makeup done by Erin Bigg, makeup artist in Brisbane.  Because she was from Sydney and it was a surprise to her hubby-to-be, we had to be discrete with a location.  We ended up shuffling around our home studio, to create a comfortable space for Ms “S” to produce the images she wanted.  All of these images were achieved within a small dining room space, and a metallic painted wall.  The photos speak for themselves about how easy it is to create a ‘studio space’ in the comfort of your own home.  Check out the photos, I am sure that you will agree, Ms “S” was hot hot hot!  Such a beautiful woman, and she looked just as beautiful on her wedding day!  If you would like to have your own Le Chic Boudoir Photography Session, then contact our studio.

Sheree is a Brisbane Model who I arranged a relaxed and creative shoot with on a Sunday not long ago.  Nicola Gangemi was the makeup artist for the day who was entrusted with creating an old style Vogue editorial ‘look’ with Sheree.  We had a great time and were able to experiment with a few different outfits and props.

Another favourite of mine….the wonders of a spare reflector to create a fan

Myself, two other photographers, three models and a makeup artist decided to let loose with a creative shoot at QUT, Kelvin Grove.  The aim was to try out different lighting techniques, as well as new post processing styles.

I wanted to have a ‘play’ in photoshop and practice some new skills, so I chose a photo that I originally took about a year ago.  I have always been interested in pushing myself more and more in photoshop, as I feel that photos can be finished off ‘really well’ IN post processing.  Some photographers would argue against that, and purists would say that you must get Everything IN camera perfectly, and no need to ‘clean’ up an image in post.  However, I think that digital darkroom practices are such an important part of my workflow and ultimately are part of the types of photos I love creating for my clients.
